I knew I was going to like this when the dedication read:
“This book is dedicated to whatever it takes, to keep your demons under control.”
(Comma splice aside.)
Dr. Rory Fletcher comes across something that may just cure his cancer. It’s the side effects he needs to worry about.
“The good news is you’re not going to die. The bad news is…you’re not going to die.”
Dang, this sucker’s intense. It’s not for the faint of heart. There are some folks dealing with some pretty significant internal demons that are pretty hardcore.
And I felt like there was doing to be some kind of massive epiphany. But, just like life, it:
“… doesn’t usually work out that way. No big climactic ending, no cathartic moment.”
I’m not sure what to say about it all, but the story sure sucked me in. Recommended if you like an intense, suspenseful story; and you’re not overly squeamish.
Thanks to NetGalley, Diamond, and Dynamite Comics for a copy in return for an honest review.
